Why Use HEC?

• Healthcare Environment Consultants can in many cases save a hospital thousands of pounds.  We aim to provide a better level of knowledge to all NHS staff to make sure waste segregation is managed in a more cost effective and safe way.  As an example, if rubbish is placed into the wrong colour of bin bag, this can cause the costs to rise by more than 5 times. 

• Further still, the wrong segregation of waste is potentially a criminal offence which could lead to a fine or worse still result in the imprisonment of senior staff. 

• The consultancy process works to help set up good working practices within the hospital.  Once training has been carried out with the appointed hospital staff, they will then be in a position to train other staff, resulting in the entire premises becoming self sufficient in the area of waste management.
